I love these glasses made from recycled wine bottles. I saw them on ETSY.COM (which is a very addicting place to check out artisans, vintage or salvaged goods.) How much fun it would be to have these beauties as your everyday glasses — and even more fun to drink the wine to get to the bottles! Cheers! Joanne
I have an IDEABOOK on the fabulous website HOUZZ. (You could miss meals and stare at this website forever!) My Salvage Secrets Ideabook has a bunch of really fun pictures of salvage interiors — go take a peek! It is so fun to check out all the very cool design ideas out there — there are some VERY talented people working with salvaged goods! Can’t wait to find more. My best, Joanne
|My Front Porch and the Cool Grate We Had Cut Into the Wood!|
As the temperature rises in Vermont, and the snow begins to melt, the dirt road I live on reminds me of why we call spring in Vermont, Mud Season. Thankfully, to keep the mud, snow, sand, or anything from the bottom of our feet, for that matter, out of our home, we inset a walk-off grate on the entryway porch! We love it! The grates in the picture I saw at Mason Brothers Architectural Salvage in Essex Junction Vermont. Joanne
My upcoming book! I’m so excited I could pinch myself!
Here is a small piece of the BLURB that W.W. Norton & Company (Andrea and Kevin, you rock!) put together to announce the book’s release.
A BIG THANK YOU (I’m bowing down deeply now) to Susan Teare (my photographer and friend). I cannot thank her enough for all her hard work and amazing skill! You will love the pictures in the book. The pictures on the top of this blog are from the book that Susan took! My best, Joanne
|Here is a picture of Susan Teare, my photographer for the book, and I taking a quick break from our photo shoots on the coast of Oregon! We are tired but very happy!|
